Alexander Zverev will face a qualifier in the first round on Monday on his return to Hamburg’s Rothenbaum. That was the result of the draw on Saturday afternoon. The Hamburg-born world number two is top ranked at his home tournament, which he won in 2023.

The draw also resulted in a German duel between Jan-Lennard Struff and newcomer Justin Engel, who received a wild card for the tournament. The other German talent Diego Dedura will play Luciano Darderi from Italy. Daniel Altmaier will face Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, while second seed Frances Tiafoe will play Chinese player Yunchaokete Bu. The 2020 Rothenbaum winner Andrey Rublev starts the tournament against Damir Dzumhur from Bosnia.

The draw resulted in two Argentinian duels. While Francisco Cerundolo will face Spain’s Pedro Martinez, his compatriots Francisco Comesana and Tomas Martin Etcheverry as well as Sebastian Baez and Camilo Ugo Carabelli will clash.
