Félix Auger-Aliassime has reached the round of 16 of the Bitpanda Hamburg Open 2025. The Canadian defeated the German Daniel Altmaier 6:3 and 6:3 after 1:19 hours. Auger-Aliassime got his revenge for his first-round defeat at the tournament in Monte Carlo in April. Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, who won 7:6 and 6:4 against Alexander Bublik, awaits in the next round.

The Rothenbaum had already had to say goodbye to a crowd favorite before Altmaier: Gaël Monfils, who even at the age of 38 was still tireless and received frenetically by his fans on the center court, lost 3:6 and 3:6 to Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.

There were also two Argentinian duels on Court M1 on Tuesday: Tomás Martín Etcheverry defeated Fransisco Comesaña 7:6 and 6:3 and will face Camilo Ugo Carabelli on Wednesday. Carabelli defeated his compatriot, last year’s semi-finalist Sebastián Báez, 6:3, 2:6 and 6:4.
